Our love letter to Everett 🥰
Every 6 months, we will rotate across concentrated Everett corridors that you, yes, you, get to draw our attention towards.
We’re calling it … Refresh Everett 🎉
This could include:
Trash Cleanups
Weed + Overgrowth Removal
Beautification + Biodiversity Projects
Free Small Business Marketing + Storefront Support
Paid Opportunities for Local New & Emerging Artists
Gang Vandalism Abatement
Public Art Installation
Adaptive Reuse Initiatives
Community Programming
Historical Preservation
Vacant + Long-Term Abandoned Property Indexing
Neighborhood Walks + Fireside Chats
Lending a Hand to a Neighbor In Need
Know a corridor that could use a refresh?

Since 2023, Bunker Arts Collective has organized over 80 cleanups and removed 20 tons of trash stretching from Marysville down to 128th. We’ve also commissioned a couple of murals… including our first one, the “12” at 41st and Rucker!
But despite our best efforts, our momentum started to grind to a halt as we ran up against the systemic issues impacting Everett’s quality of life:
Long-term abandoned and vacant properties
Out-of-state private real estate investment firms waiting for market conditions to work in their favor
Illegal dumping & gang vandalism
Outdated zoning and land use
Uninspired private development
Poor pedestrian safety and infrastructure
AI marketing (hire a local artist!!)
The reduction, or even elimination, of public services and amenities
We’re not trying to rile you up. We just really want folks to see how great Everett actually is, which is why we're hitting the refresh button!
By creating stronger corridors, we aim to build stronger, more resilient, more vibrant, and more civically engaged neighborhoods.
Our Executive Director, Evan, was bouncing around Snohomish County like a pinball while our small team of three continued working separate full-time jobs. Progress became blurred, Evan wouldn’t ask for help, and projects we thought would be quick jobs ended up taking weeks… or maybe a year (just as an example 🫠).
Ultimately, we realized arts and culture aren't just pivotal to flesh out Everett’s identity; they can directly influence local policy, urban design, and economic and community development.

Right now, we fund our work through your donations and Evan’s sweet grant writing. We aren't seeking any corporate sponsorships at the moment.
That said, we are so thankful to our early corporate sponsors. You helped kick-start our momentum to buy a van, completely offset our dump fees, helped us paint a couple of murals, and gave us instant credibility through your trust.
